Constant Tips: Did you know you could change your language settings?
Every Tuesday we'll share tips, tricks, and insights on using Constant Contact, online marketing, and using the Community.
While perusing Questions & Discussions, I came across this thread on language settings and it compelled me to want to talk about this in a tip.
I think many Constant Contact users might not realize you can change the language settings in your account. If there is another language you might feel more comfortable navigating your account in, it’s worth making the change! We currently offer:
Danish
Dutch
English
French
German
Italian
Norwegian
Portuguese
Castilian Spanish
Latin American Spanish
Swedish
📣 It’s important to note that this doesn’t just change the language for the account itself, but will also change the language used in the footer of your campaigns, the email privacy policy that appears in the footer, and buttons on website sign-up forms.
Will points out in his original response that if you’re trying to send email campaigns to recipients in different languages, you’ll either have to manually replace all the copy for the second language and send a separate campaign or send it in one language and rely on the recipient to utilize their own translation program to do the work.
Additionally, because the account can only be set to one language at a time, even if the body of the email is in (for example) Spanish, the header and footer information (the non-editable parts) would default to English, because that’s the selected account language.
🔍 They point out where to find this setting around the 1:00 minute mark.
Follow the steps outlined here to change the language of the non-editable text in your campaigns and account.
