How to set custom field to blank for many contacts?

I have a custom field that has an incorrect value for many contacts (say, around 1000). Rather than keep the field's incorrect values, I want to set values to blank. My usual tool for bulk updating is using an Excel spreadsheet in Add Contacts. However, that approach does not work because blank fields are ignored. Is there a way to specify that field values should be set to blank rather than ignored? I can update contacts one by one, but I have too many contacts to fix.

Hello @user08788 ,

The only real way to clear them would be to wholly delete the custom field, or replace the custom field info with something more generic like "null" or "n/a."
