Is there a way to make test emails editable so that a proofreader can make edits directly into the email, or at least make comments, similar to the way comments are made in Word or Acrobat?

Hello @bwf2001 ,
No, test emails aren't editable. The only way someone else could edit your email is if you add them as an Account Manager on your account.

I just want someone to proofread the test and send me comments rather than to go in to the account. It's very frustrating for people who just want to proofread and make comments rather than be in charge of the whole email: there's no tracking and the original creator can't tell what's been changed or suggested. Is there any kind of workaround?

Well the default is that they just reply directly to your email with the changes they expect you to make. Otherwise, no there's nothing that's a 1:1 compatibility with something like Word / Pages / Google Docs.
