For many years, every month, we've generated CSV and/or Tab Delimited files and have had no issues uploading them. Starting this last month we receive an invalid file format error. If I open the files in Excel and resave as a CSV they will load. The files I uploaded successfully last month, which we haven't touched, give us an invalid file format error. What has changed? Has anyone else experienced this and have you been able to mitigate? Thanks

Hello @user203674 ,
I'd advise referring to our article on formatting contact files for import, to see if anything in that article applies to the files. Even if you didn't explicitly prompt any changes, the database in which you have them stored outside of your Constant Contact account, programs used to open the files, or any other number of technical things in the background might be causing the files to not be readable/compatible as they were previously.
If you're unable to figure out what the issue would be with the contact file, please call in so our phone support can securely collect the contact file for further investigation. If you're unable to call in, please reply to the automated @ mention email you receive from this response, with the contact file attached.

I, too, am having the same issue. I have been importing csv files for two years with no issues, and this month (I did not import files last month), I am getting an error. I reached out to the help desk and was told it was an issue with my browser, which I find unlikely. If I change my files to .xls, I can upload them file, but that's a lot of work. Has anyone found a resolution to this?

Hi @Brokaw-CU ,
If we're unable to recreate the issue on our end with the exact same file and file type, then it would indicate a more localized issue when uploading the file.
Does the issue uploading your CSV also occur in other browsers you have access to, or in the private/incognito version of the browser you regularly use? Does the issue occur on other devices or networks you have access to? Are you running any VPNs, ad/pop-up blockers, or browser extensions / addons / plugins?
