Removing contact from mid drip when they join a new list

I am setting up multiple funnels a contact can move through based on what they click. When a contact joins my list they get a welcome email. From that email based on what they click they can get added to a different list to get the information they want, but I don't need them to continue to get the email from the original drip. Is there a way to stop that one person from getting the rest of the 3 emails from the welcome drip once they join a different sales list? Will the drip automatically stop for that person once they are removed from the list even if they are mid que?

Hi @ShamberleeM ,

Great question! I checked with our technical department, and they did confirm that removing the contact from the list that the automation is set to go to will stop that contact from receiving future emails associated with that automation.

We do have an open feature request to be able to manually remove certain contacts from the automation queue, so I will certainly have our engineering team reach back out to you with any updates we have on that as well.
