Rounded buttons with borders

Was there an update to emails where you can no longer have a rounded button when you apply a border? Previously I could apply a border to a button that I added vertical & horizontal padding to and it still kept it's rounded shape. That is no longer the case. Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I'm not recreating your described issue. I am able to have a button with active margins / padding, a border, and with rounded corners. This appears as expected when I test send the email to myself.

If you're needing guidance on adding and customizing buttons in campaigns, see our main article on the topic. If you're still having issues with customizing your button's radius, can you provide a screencap of what you're seeing when editing the button (similar to what I've provided above)?

This was not an issue we had experienced before but seem to be now, as we typically have always been able to apply a border to a rounded button. Here is what happens when I take a round button and turn on the Apply border toggle.

Since this doesn't seem to be a feature change, please advise your recommendations on how we can get this back to a rounded button with a border. Thanks!

Have you tried deleting the button and inserting a new one?

Yes. I have also tried logging out and logging back in and then creating a new button as well, but this still continues to happen.

Does this also happen in brand new templates you create, or just from ones you copy from previous copies?

I just tested it and it still happens when I attempt to create the button from a brand new blank email.

It seems to be sporadic, because I'm able to get rounded corners on some buttons with borders, and other buttons turn square. Based on what we're seeing, this is associated with the newer UI experience. If you toggle it off, the rounded buttons with borders should work in the editor as well. You can toggle off the new UI experience by clicking your logo in the bottom-left corner, then clicking the toggle for New experience.

I've tracked the issue to your account. When there's an update regarding it, the devs will notify you directly.

I just sent a test email to myself, and I realized that this seems to be a display issue when editing an email. Even though it is presenting itself as square, it seems to be rounded when actually sending the email. I'm not sure if there is any way to fix this display issue, but I am at least happy to report it is not displaying incorrectly for contacts sent to.

Our devs have since fixed this issue. If still seeing squared corners for bordered buttons, make sure to delete that button entirely, and then insert a new button.
