I know we get charged based on the number of contacts we have. Shall we delete unsubscribed contacts to drop the number of contacts so we get charge less?

Hello @FarazV ,

You are not charged for unsubscribed contacts, as they are considered an inactive contact type.

Our records will still track the email addresses that have unsubscribed from you, even if you delete them from your account, so that way you don't accidentally re-import them. Otherwise, you're free to leave them in your account or export them so you have a visible record of them.

I see we are not charged for unsubscribed contacts, as they are considered an inactive contact type. Are we charged for suspended contacts that get bounced? Are those also considered an inactive contact type?

From the article you linked:

  • Contacts who have bounced, such as non-existent, undeliverable, or suspended contacts, who have not yet been removed from your account.

Bounces are considered active contacts as they can be potentially edited, the bounce was a temporary issue, etc.
