It would be ideal if I could simply duplicate an existing contact list and then rename it for a different mailing purpose - so that unsubscribes from one don't affect the other.
Can this be done?
Thanks,
Teri

Hi @TeriI5 ,
Great question! When a contact unsubscribes, they will be unsubscribed from the entire account, regardless of list membership. However, you can add different lists to the Update Profile form, which will give the contact the option of which lists they would like to remain a part of, and which they'd like to be removed from.

Hi Amanda_G
No you did not answer the question. We want to duplicate a mailing list so we can modify one but leave the original unedited. Can someone explain how to do this?

Hello @ASQLA ,
The question didn't actually refer to duplicating lists, which is why Amanda explained how Update Profile forms work.
To duplicate a list, simply select-all the contacts in the list you want to copy, Actions > Add to list > Create a new list and assign the contacts to the new one. For full instructions and visual guidance, please see our article on moving contacts.
