delete a text box in a newsletter

Hi Everyone,

I have an issue that I am sure has a solution, but I can't find it. I have a newsletter with text boxes and photo boxes. For some reason, I cannot delete an empty text box and it's taking up too much room in the newsletter format. These are text boxes that I used in previous issues, but no longer need. My newsletter is a mix of content (text) and photos.

How do I delete the empty text box from the newsletter template? I don't see a trashcan when I click on the box. I also don't see a gear box.

Help would be appreciated.
