size of existing email shrinks when copying

I have an email that I copy every week, and then I can the date for the upcoming call. I've done this for the past 10 years. Now when I copy the email (any email) it shrinks it down to a size that I can't even read it to make the changes before resending it out.

Hello @Dr.Joan.Norton ,

 

I'm not able to recreate what you're describing when I copy your emails, they copy as the same expected size as shown in the Previews and other draft versions. 

 

That said, there may be something on your side that only you're able to see or experience. A couple standard troubleshooting elements you can check from your side include:

  • Seeing if adjusting your browser screen's zoom makes it easier to view and edit your email. You can start from the default by doing CTRL 0 on PC or CMD 0 on Mac to set it to the default level, then zoom in (CTRL or CMD +) or zoom out (CTRL or CMD -) to see if that corrects how you're viewing the email editing.
  • Seeing if the issue occurs on other browsers, in incognito/private mode, or on other devices and networks you have access to. If you're running any browser extensions, ad/pop-up blockers, VPNs, or other security elements, you may want to temporarily disable those and fully reload the site to narrow down if any of those might be causing issues with the site's functionality. Our Community's Connectivity FAQ will have more info regarding these checks.

Another option would be to see if the issue still occurs when you copy from an older version of the email. If you've been copying other copies of copies for awhile, it can build up junk coding in the background over time. Copying from an older version with less generations of mutated code, or copying from a master template will avoid these situations. If you don't have a master template to copy directly from, you may want to consider taking the time to build one in the current editor. A master template can have all the usual stuff you need for each email - the layout, coloring, imagery and logo, custom footer info, etc. - and when you copy it for a new sendout, you just fill in the necessary info prior to sending.
