We here at the 30 year non-profit organization Homeless Garden Project (HGP) in Santa Cruz are so grateful for the marketing tools that Constant Contact provides. We provide transitional employment for people experiencing homelessness by employing people on a production organic farm and in our workshop manufacturing retail goods to fund the project. The service has been invaluable to the success of creating community support, aiding in fundraising, and assisting to market to our Value Added Social Enterprises. Our success is highlighted when a person in our community experiencing homelessness takes full advantage of the opportunity we provide and graduates from their one year employment here at HGP with full time and long term housing. One way that Constant Contact helped us to employ more people experiencing homelessness by ensuring we have high quality marketing for increased retail sales also is the seamless connection between our point of service Shopify and Constant contact. This connection enabled our social enterprise team to greatly expand our email list and allowed us to do more targeted marketing through segmentation. We were doing this manually previously so the added efficiency and quality is once again an invaluable asset. Lastly I will add that we also recently had our first viral promo video thanks to our Value Added Manager Loren Schneider, which got 245K views and over 2,000 comments. This type of exposure for our organization is huge and all helps us to hire more people experiencing homelessness and enable a path to a better life for the most vulnerable in our community.
