You already made an idea on this topic. Please see my original response to provide more info on what it is you're looking to do in the system, or to see if the provided workarounds accomplish what you're looking to do since most text box areas (at least in my experience on multiple platforms) don't work with m-dashes.
This is an existing feature request.
Our devs are aware of this, and working to address the issue.
