Hello @DorothyI2 ,

Can you provide any further insight on what you're encountering? Is your security program causing an issue in your Constant Contact account, or preventing your event from being accessible?

We believe that the open event is being triggered when the email is scanned for malicious URL or attachments. This is over stating the actual user open events. We are wondering if other users have experienced this and what they are doing about it. thanks!!

Is your event set to register people automatically without them entering info? Events made in our system would require at least manually entering an email address, and completing the form before someone would be registered.

Or is your concern that the bot clicks are causing an inflated level of interest / server ping for where the event is being hosted?

If you're using a security program that's triggering the tracking links, then the only options I can really advise are to either:

  • setup a different way to gauge interest in your open event that doesn't rely on site visits
  • utilize a different security program that doesn't click on links to check for malware
