Report (1st email - automation series).PNGQueue (2nd email).PNGHi,

Just want to confirm if unsubscribed contacts (and those that bounced) are automatically removed from the automation series. We saw that some contacts unsubscribed when the trigger email (opens the email - 1st one) was sent. It appears that the number of contacts in the queue for the 2nd email is increasing (those that opened the trigger email). I'm wondering if those that have unsubscribed/bounced are still on queue for the 2nd email. Do I need to manually removed those have have unsubscribed from those that have opened list who they won't be included on queue for the 2nd email? Will they still receive the 2nd email from the automation series OR the system automatically removes them from the series & they won't receive the 2nd email? Thanks.

Hello @AudreyS90 ,

If you've set your automation as "opens this email," and the contact doesn't open the trigger email, either via bouncing or simply not opening, then they won't be added to the queue for the rest of the series. Unsubscribes are removed from all lists, so even if someone opens and unsubscribes through your trigger email, they'll be prevented from being sent anything further.

Hi  @William_A,

Right now, there are 183 recipients who opened the trigger email (1st). Same number is also on queue for the 2nd email. It appears that even those that have unsubscribed will be included for the 2nd email. In the screenshots above, the figures for those that have opened and are on queue are almost similar. Are the reports real time? Or the queue figures real time?

Yes they're real time, and no they won't be sent the emails if they're unsubscribed from you. If you find this to not be the case, and you see your next steps still being sent to contacts that explicitly unsubscribed via the trigger email, then please let us know so we can investigate.
