Hi,
How do I send a one off email just to none openers? I have over 20 folders & would like to send a special email, maybe to dig deeper, ask what they want info on, so I can change what they had originally.

Hello @KeithD4 ,

Resending an email to non-openers will depend on how long ago the original was sent. We have several support articles regarding resending emails available:

Since email in general has to comply with anti-spam laws, there are some restrictions on these functionalities. In some instances, it won't be the same email campaign, you'll have to make a copy and a new list, and send the separate copy to the specific list instead. Make sure to check the articles for step-by-step and visual guidance on these different resend methods.

Hi William,

thank you for the above.
I did however want to send a new email to none openers aimed at finding out if we could do anything that may make it more inviting to open.
I didn’t want to just resend an old newsletter to none openers.
could you please advise again.
thank you 🙏🏻

When you say "none openers" are you referring to non-openers, as in people who didn't open your most recent email? Or are you referring to contacts that haven't opened any of your emails?

The setup process will be a bit different depending on which, but the end goal is the same- re-engagement.

For targeting your most recent email's non-openers, you'll want to follow these steps:

  1. View your email's Did Not Open report.
  2. Add the DNO contacts with the following steps:
Select-all by clicking the topmost checkmark box, click Actions at the top > click Add to list > Create. Name it accordingly, save, and add the contacts to that new list.
  3. Create the follow-up email you wish to send to the new list.
  4. Schedule / Send the email to that new list.

For targeting contacts that haven't opened any emails, follow these steps:

  1. Create a segment. Set the criteria to be:
Email Activities > Any Email > As long of a date range as you can, based on segment limits and your account's age
  2. Create the follow-up email you wish to send to the segmented contacts.
  3. Schedule / Send the email to that new segment.

Depending on how many contacts you have, and how many other segments are also being calculated across our servers, there may be a delay in the segment's generation. However, the email will only send, once the calculation is done. If you schedule the email for much later, then the segment will recalculate at the time of the sendout. Another option for segmentation would be to utilize our pre-built Least Engaged segmentation, and send to that instead.
