If you're having trouble importing a PDF to use for an email, I'd recommend the following basic troubleshooting steps:

• Make sure the PDF file is smaller than 5 KB - Too large, and the system will reject it / error out
• Try compressing the file - Sometimes files will contain tons of extraneous background info that's unnecessary to the actual file. Compressing can reduce this clutter and make the file more easily read by systems importing / converting it.
• Upload the PDF into your Library directly, rather than using the PDF>email conversion - If you can import the actual file without going through the generic email generation, then you can use an existing template of yours, or make a new one from scratch. Then you'd simply link to the PDF manually, and include the image of the first page as the conversion method does.
