Tutorial: Insert a read more block in your email

Are there certain webiste links that cannot be used. I am trying to insert articles from real estate publications and am getting this meeages: "Looks like we can’t access that URL. Try again or use a different URL."

Does the URL lead to a webpage locked behind a paywall or password/login protection? Does using a URL shortener and plugging that shortened URL into the Read More block allow it to process?
