When using social posts, it’s important to keep in mind that while your audience probably overlaps between your email endeavors and social media ambitions, it’s a whole different ball game. If you need some inspiration, we have a wonderful guide on how to Own the Social Sphere.

 

First, you want to make sure that the image(s) you are using are optimized for the social media platform you’re going to post to. Images on Facebook and Instagram scale differently and if you’re posting to both you wouldn’t want the image to look worse for wear or cropped. Social Media 

 

Every platform also has their own character limits for the text associated with the post. Most are pretty generous, but if you’re also posting to Twitter then make sure to keep the 280 character limit in mind. That said, during the creation stage you can opt to make different posts for each platform all on the same page!

 

It's important to see email marketing and social media marketing as two sides of the same coin, so to speak. By leveraging multiple marketing channels, you have a better chance of reaching a bigger audience interested in what you have to offer.
