Hi, I'm using authorization code flow for authorization. The URL that I'm using for a browser is: https://authz.constantcontact.com/oauth2/default/v1/authorize?client_id={myClientID}&scope=contact_data+campaign_data+offline_access&response_type=code&state=yNU4YJIKZz&redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Flocalhost%3A31000%2Fccauth The redirect uri matches what was set up in the application. This used to work up until at least a few months ago. Now, I get the following where it shows "Unable to sign in" with no error message: And it remains in this state indefinitely.

When trying to get contacts, I get the following error message:
We are currently experiencing an issue with our service, please try again in a few minutes or contact Customer Support.
The URL used was:
https://api.cc.email/v3/contacts?limit=500&status=active&include=taggings%252Cstreet_addresses%252Clist_memberships&updated_after=2022-03-08T14%3A34%3A10.1844632Z
Now, the reason why it was an error was because there was an incorrect encoding for the "include" parameter values, specifically the comma should be %2C. I don't have any issue with it flagging that as an error. (Though interestingly, it used to work even though it was encoded incorrectly.)
But the error message is wrong.
When the same issue occurred with getting email campaigns, I got the error:
EmailCampaignActivity include has invalid values
Which is correct.

Thanks. My main goal of calling that API endpoint was to check that the connection will work with a given access token. In that context, I was only checking if it returned a 200 OK status code. Thus, any endpoint would serve that purpose. I switched over to using the Get user privileges endpoint.

Thanks. I came up with an alternative solution for my use case where it didn't rely on dynamic port numbers. After I had written my post, I did see your documentation where it mentioned: "Wildcards are not supported except at the domain root level." See https://v3.developer.constantcontact.com/api_guide/server_flow.html I think the error message in the app is a bit misleading as it implies there is an issue with the wildcard char of * itself.

I was testing the new authorization service and I was calling the API to get the access token information using: https://api.cc.email/v3/token_info See https://v3.developer.constantcontact.com/api_reference/index.html#!/Access_Token_Information/postAuthCode I get the following error back: [ { "error_key": "token.invalid", "error_message": "Invalid access token" } ] However, the token I was testing is valid. I know it is valid since it works with other API calls. Testing it from the above link from the documentation produces the same results.

Hi, I'm trying to port over our application to use the new authorization service and I made a copy of our app as per the instructions here: https://v3.developer.constantcontact.com/api_guide/auth_update_apps.html Our redirect URL goes to localhost, however, the port number may be different depending on the circumstance so I have: http://localhost:*/ccauth as the redirect. The * wildcard allows me to specify a different port number. Now, for the new copied app it has this error: This redirect URI uses an unsupported wildcard character. The redirect URI must be an absolute URI. Does this mean that there is a supported wildcard character or does this mean that wildcards are no longer accepted at all? If there is a supported wildcard char, what can I use to indicate different port #?

Hi, I am using the API to get a list of recently updated contacts (i.e. those that were updated after a certain date/time) and I'm finding that under very specific circumstances, if a tag is added to a contact it will not update the updated_at field on the contact. This non update happens when: The contact does not have a postal address nor a phone number The contact is updated from the web interface when you are looking at the contact detail, click on Edit, select a tag from the list, do not update anything else, and click on Save. The updated_at date updates correctly if there is a postal address or phone number. It works if a tag is removed instead of added. It also works if you select the contact from the list, and add the tag from the Actions menu.

Hi, I ran a bulk upload to add new contacts (was a test where it added a single contact). When looking up the activity status I get this (snippet from json result): "state": "completed",

"created_at": "2021-11-18T16:51:50Z",
"updated_at": "2021-11-18T16:52:01Z", I would assume that the process started creating contacts from the start date/time and finished at the completed date/time. However in my test, the contact had a created date/time of "2021-11-18T16:51:50Z" which matches the created date/time of the bulk process. But the documentation says: "started_at": (stringread only)Timestamp showing when we began processing the activity request, in ISO-8601 format. "completed_at": (stringread only)Timestamp showing when we completed processing the activity, in ISO-8601 format. "created_at": (stringread only)Timestamp showing when we created the activity, in ISO-8601 format. See https://v3.developer.constantcontact.com/api_reference/index.html#!/Bulk_Activities/getActivity This implies that if a bulk process is creating new contacts, it should have started doing so from the start date/time.
