My name is Douglas Stewart, Producing Artistic Director for Matchbox Theater Company (MTC) founded in 1994 in Albuquerque, NM. We are entering our 30th year as a non-profit organization. Our mission is: 1) Provide performing opportunities for professional actors; 2) Produce thought provoking contemporary, modern, and classical plays for public enjoyment; 3) Offer professionally taught acting classes/workshops for aspiring youth/adults in Stage/Film/TV; and 4) Create outreach programs for youth in cooperation with public schools and other community organizations. I have been involved in marketing and producing theatrical and dance events my entire life. I am joining Constant Contact to better manage our organization’s social media branding and keeping track with our former, current, and future theatre patrons. The arts must continue to survive in our country. I strongly believe that it is the artists that have always been at the forefront of creating positive change in our society.
