New Idea

Add Search Option to Campaigns

Status: Certified Great Idea
by LMcNulty on ‎01-27-2017 03:23 PM
It would be extremely helpful if I could type a couple words to search for in past campaigns. Then I could easily locate the different emails we have used to market past events we are repeating. Thanks!

Time/Date Campaign is Sent

Status: Closed - Implemented
by JennieP9 on ‎08-23-2016 12:37 PM
The old version of Constant Contact used to show what time the campaigns were to be sent. With the new version, the campaign's page only shows the date the campaigns go out on, not the time. This is extremely difficult to work with when there is more than one campaign going out per day.
Feedback should go to Constant Contact to FIX ISSUES, not to community for discussion

I have been a client of Constant Contact for a little over a month now. Our company is looking forward to utilizing this tool to communicate with our clientele and generate new leads. Charged with the task of learning this software, I have enrolled in numerous webinars that I am grateful your company has made available to new users. There is always a learning curve when using a new tool; however, the tutorials, webinars and community forums truly have truly been an asset to help us hit the ground running with the handful of campaigns we’ve already sent out in our short membership. In saying that, I would like to communicate my frustration in how disappointed I was to learn today, that the interface the instructors are using in your introductory webinars, are outdated. When I am being walked through the best practices on how to choose a template, there is a whole selection of options that are not available to me as the “new” interface I have is too simplistic. When the instructor is navigating between the emails, apps, and other menu items at the top of their screen, I look to my blank blue bar with sadness. Those options are not available to me. If I wanted to organize my email blasts into different folders, to capitalize on the suggestion of portioning and sending the blasts at different times to gauge my audiences’ best click-to-open rate, I now realize, I cannot. I realize that simplicity can make for a more user friendly experience; however, one shouldn’t negate functionality. This “new” interface has been dumbed down too much. I do hope you re-integrate some of the features you have sadly just rid yourself of. I hope enough people with cry out in frustration as I am now. And I’m a new member!

Form Spam

Status: Closed - No Action
by StanB55 on ‎07-30-2014 03:20 PM
Today I have experienced a Russian spammer submitting my event registration form. I don't seem to be able to delete them, so when I change their status from registered to cancelled I presume your system will kick out a confirming email to the mail.ru address they provided. It would be great to be able to block submissions from outside the U.S. and also great to be able to delete a bogus signup rather than just change their status.

Hi folks We have just sent our our first event campaign, but have since noticed their is no "Add to Google Calendar" feature - is this something that you are working on, as we use Google Calendar / Google Apps for Business and this is essential to us and a vast number of our audience.

Highlight Email Name field

Status: Voting Open
by StevenT21 on ‎07-30-2015 05:27 PM

I have some ideas I would like to share. When you reuse a campaign it just renames it to Copy of XXXXXX. It is not intuitive that you need to rename immediately. How about having that area either highlighted or blinking. Also how about having an edit listed in the Actions and then ask the user to save as new? Use the same highlighted or blinking area as showing focus that it needs to be renamed.

The current tutorials are not based on the new templates and editor for email marketing campaigns, therefore not helpful.

Please make this site work with Microsoft Edge, pretty please with bits and bytes on top.

I'd like to be able to access the content for newsletters that were sent out 3 or even 4 years ago.  Why is this not possible?

I recently wanted to brag a bit to a new buyer by sending a copy of a newsletter that was sent out 3 years ago but when I sent a preview to myself to check before sending and clicked "read more" I receive a message that the page is not available.

When considering the branding and past history of my product, it's sometimes nice to go back and relay positive events that happened through the years to a new potential buyer. The template that my design team created is so Good Looking it's nice to be able to show prospective buyes a bit of the marketing & successes we've had/done in the past. Now I must go back and re-create the content when I click "read more". That seems a bit strange....yet I must admit, I'm not an expert at this.  Is this due to a storage capacity issue or is there some other reason?

Or is there a way that I can make sure that 'unique' news can be saved for future use? Some newsletters are created as it is time to send something out. Others are more meaningful.

Just curious!

Change of format

Some idiot has changed your format. It's now unusable. Why?

Very annoying. I refreshed a few times, hoping it was a glitch, but it must be something in the coding. Please look into this.

Thanks for letting us know, this was fixed on Friday so please let us know if you are still running into this today.

There should be the option to automatically add survey respondents added to contact, currently you have to manually add them which seems somewhat redundant

Bounced E-Mail addresses. There is no way to move them to an isolated list without applying tags and then moving them by the Tags. You can already present all the contacts that bounced. You need to offer a MOVE option directly from this menu so I can move them to a list that I can manage later. The search is useless in its present form. the advanced menu provides options that never return results. IS basically means EQUALS and unless you know EXACTLY what you are searching for it never returns results. You need to offer a CONTAINS option. I want to be able to search for Email addresses that contain a string. Example: userABC@ Verizon.net Search: E-Mail CONTAINS "verizon" I would like to see the ability to save a campaign as a template and when I create a new campaign, having the template appear as a choice on the templates page. Also would like to add self populating values such as %DATE% or other user created Values so templates auto populate these values dynamically.

Trial Period

Status: Closed - No Action
by EdwinF70 on ‎04-11-2016 01:31 PM
I am in the trail period and I had a very simple question regarding how to get back into text to correct a typographical error. I emailed my question to the company and waited for over half an hour. I eventually called and got Candice who was very nice. She walked me through the simple process of correcting my typo. She was very nice about it.

Wait Time

Customer service is excellent but the long wait times, over 15 minutes, need to be cut down.  There is nothing more frustrating than waiting for more than five minutes for customer support.

"campaigns" vs Eventspot & Emails

Status: Voting Open
by on ‎02-04-2015 05:51 PM
Having everything under campaigns, takes longer to find things. Under the old system when you could look under emails one could find an email very quickly. Also, for our organization Campaign is not the best word to describe anything. We do events or send eblasts.
