Easier way to delete large number of images in Library

When I have 400 files and I want to delete some of these, I appear to need to click through many many screens to get anywhere. This is just one problem in the user experience that desperately needs changing. A list of 100 would be more acceptable.

Hi! I am trying to sort through and delete a ton of photos from our photo library. We have over 16,000 photos. When I try to search photos by date - the search engine is only allowing me to enter a start date and it will not allow me to put an end date. Therefore, the only way I can get to the photos from (say) 2013 is to keep clicking "Show More" at the bottom of the page...and it will not allow me to select a bunch of photos and erase at one time. It makes me click each picture I want to erase one by one - and after each time it resets me to the most recent (i.e. 2020) photos. So, theoretically, I have to click "See More" about 50 - 75 times EACH TIME I want to erase ONE photo. :frown:

I got an answer to this question today from a specialist inside Constant Contact (I wish I remembered her name) who said they'd made some improvements in the searchability of the library...and it was marvelous, because it was relatively easy and it worked.

Now let's see if I can explain it.

From inside your library, there's what looks like a search box.  To the right of it is a magnifying glass, and underneath it is the word Advanced.  Click on the word Advanced.  A calendar will pop up.  You can click on the calendar and work your way back to the date range of interest and pick a 'start date'.  In the little box above the calendar, a date range will appear.  Once it does, you can adjust the date range so that it encompasses the dates you want.

Then you go back up to that magnifying glass and click it.  Your image and pdf files for that date range will appear on the right hand side of your screen and you can select them easily and then delete bunches at a time.  I cleaned out two years worth of very old images and files in less than 10 minutes.  It was so much better than having to delete them the old way.

Under Library, it would be nice if when you remove a folder if the site asks what to do with the pictures in the folders. If I want to remove a folder and its content, I cant simply delete the folder. I have to go into each folder and delete the images and then delete the folder.

It would be great if you could search the images by age, so that you could load the oldest images, then select all in that displayed group, to delete. The select all box at the top is helpful, but not if it doesn't change the page because at that point, I can only scroll one at a time to select the ones I want to delete.

It would be terrific to have a "delete all checked images" button at the bottom of the screen in the library.

Can't you make it so when you put a check mark on an image in your library you could deleted several at a time without having to go to the top of the image file?
Please make it easier and faster to "Show more" images!!

Unacceptable that this issue hasn't been resolved.  It appears that Constant Contact would rather make the process of purging old images frustrating in order to encourage us to upgrade our Library storage subscriptions $$.

Please do better, Constant Contact.

Regarding the sort and making it easier to delete old files in the Library, I notice that the original date on this question is 2018 and yet it is a feature that has yet been implemented! CC makes all sorts of tweaks and changes that are not of benefit to your Subscribers, whereas there are requests such as this that have been submitted for years and we are still waiting. PLEASE bring this to the top of the stack!
