creating a confirmation button in the email

I want to create an email that asks people to confirm they received the email by simply clicking a button in that email.  This button would somehow let me know they received the email, and also give them a message of thanks for confirming.  Anyone know how to do this?

At this time our campaigns do not include an option for readers to confirm the delivery of your email campaigns. What are some cases where you would like this type of confirmation button in your email campaign? How would you expect for it to appear?
