Hello!
I am creating my own custom code email in CC. I typically use vml to prevent Outlook from blowing up the buttons:
<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml>
<o:OfficeDocumentSettings>
<o:AllowPNG/>
<o:PixelsPerInch>96</o:PixelsPerInch>
</o:OfficeDocumentSettings>
</xml><![endif]-->
However, this is stripped out of the code by CC.
How have you solved this issue so that your email buttons render correctly in Outlook?
Thank you,
Melinda
Hi @vincentnewman ,
I spoke with our technical team regarding this, and they did confirm that VML code is stripped from the editor, but there may be something they can do to assist you with that. They did suggest that I have you reach out to them, since they are the ones well versed in custom code. I would recommend giving our support line a call, (866-289-2101), and letting them know that you need assistance with custom code and that you need to be transferred to Tier 2 support. They will then be able to get you in touch with a higher level technical person who can assist you further with your code. They can be reached from Monday - Friday: 7 am - 5 pm MT or 9 am - 7 pm ET.
I called support. The tier 2 support person said there is a bug with CC stripping VML. No ETA on the fix for this.
So there is no trick to get CC to use a VML button at this time. Back to using a table and having no round corners in Outlook.
I've spent so much time creating an email template, only to learn the buttons will not be supported because CC strips vml. Can we please get a fix for this?
