Outlook inserts x-msg://179/ message into email. Microsoft web site says message not well formed.
I'm not finding any previous cases or known issues referencing that error message, which you mentioned was Outlook inserting it in your original post.
I presume this may have something to do with your account's lack of self-authentication, and some of your recipients' OL programs or networks are adding that messaging as part of a security warning. The only way to really test this theory though, would be for you to set you account up for self-authentication (see the linked article self-auth's purpose and methods).
Beyond that, I'm not even finding anything when searching the internet for that error message, which is why I suggested reaching out to OL's support to begin with.
Did you copy the text in your email from another source, and not clear the formatting prior to pasting in? Did this error show when you test-sent the email, or when you view the sent email on any other email programs or even the Outlook mobile app?
Hello @Azcowboy45 ,
I'd advise reaching out to Outlook's support for this error message.
I will do that, but the message was generated by Constant Contact not Outlook. It was a reaction to your generated emails and has alarmed some my customers that it might be a virus although I am sure that it is not. Have your developers encountered this problem or logged any bugs in this area?

Thanks, I think your email gives us a good start setting up "self authentication". We have a generic GoDaddy email address that my client uses, but is using a personal account for this purpose. Plus I have access to the CNAME record. We will look into that. Your quick responses are most appreciated.
One other update. My client did copy some text that was pasted in from MSWord. If I understand correctly, she should have converted it into just pure unformatted text pasted it into the email then reformatted. Correct?
