Pay what you want option for event tickets?

I am wondering if there is a way to have a "pay what you want" ticket for an event? This is a new model that some arts organizations are trying out and it would be great to have that option when making events in Constant Contact. The "pay what you want" model could have a starting price, but then be filled in by the registrant.

Another idea or option would be to have a donation ticket or customizable ticket price. So the registrant could add one ticket, that starts at $10 suggested donation, but then could edit that price to say, $20, but still only reserve one ticket. This could also be accomplished with an "add-on" that functioned as an open-ended donation instead of a fixed price.

Hello @ThacherHall ,

If you're wanting to use the registration form, my advice would be to setup several tickets of varying amounts ($5, $10, $20, $50, $100, etc.) you wish to list out, and an unlimited amount of tickets that can be purchased. You can maybe give them different names, or offer featuring the registrants that purchase a higher amount ticket.

Otherwise, there wouldn't really be a way to make this work directly within the registration system for a fully fluid payment amount. You might consider running it similar to a donation campaign, wherein once people have registered for the event, your follow-up emails include a link to your preferred payment system so people can make the custom payment amount they want.
