I've set up the trigger for list subscription and also tested the automation with a 1-minute time delay but it's not sending welcome emails to my list. Looking for support

Check the setup of your automation, to make sure it's the right type. Welcome emails (which utilize the New Subscriber trigger) will only trigger off of contacts added via a sign up form associated with your account (landing page, coded, etc.)

If you import the contacts and add them to a list, it wouldn't trigger the New Subscriber setup. You'd need to utilize automation with the Joins a List trigger.

Make sure to check out our article on automation triggers for more detailed info on the functionalities.

Hi @JamesK6385. Did these contacts already exist in your account prior to adding them to a list? If so, they would not receive the email as it would only be sent to new contacts. You can send the welcome email by creating a new trigger list for the campaign and then add the contacts to the list only after the campaign is created and activated.

Hi Caitlin, the contacts didn't exist in the account, prior to adding them to a list. They're fresh leads generated through our marketing channels but the automation isn't delivering emails to any new contacts that subscribe to the list. Should I follow the steps that you mentioned in this case?

Hi, changing the automation type to 'custom' changed the trigger to 'added to list' which works, thank you!
