Our Heat Map is not reporting properly, only showing clicks on some elements but not others.
We are reporting approximately 80 clicks, but heat map is only showing 9. Only reporting on 2 of the 3 buttons. The button that was the goal to be clicked is not reporting any clicks on heatmap but is showing 75 clicks in Click Through Distribution in Reporting.
Hello @JennyB56 ,
Was the link not showing on your heat map setup for click segmentation - to add contacts to a specific list when they clicked the link? Have you sent any other emails with the affected link, and if so, is it showing correctly on the heat map for those emails' reports?
I do not see a link for click segmentation on the heat map. We have not used this link in an email before.
I'm asking whether or not you'd setup that affected link for click segmentation prior to sending the email out, or if you set it up as a regular link.
I did not enable click segmentation on any of the links, it is a regular link/button.
Thank you very much for confirming. I've submitted the case to the devs for further investigation. At this time they're still collecting info and trying to pin down what the common element could be, based on how sporadic it's been with its few tracks. If and when there's an update, they'll notify you. In the meantime, it'd be best to rely on the main click-through distribution report, rather than the heat map.
If you're able, you might see if excluding the coded elements (essentially anything after and including the first ?) from the link in future mailings resolves the heat map issue.
