Adding a contact manually to unsubscribed list

0 Votes

Please give instructions on how to add an email address manually to a DO NOT CONTACT list/ unsubscribed list. There should be a straight forward simple way to do this from the contacts page. This speaks to making it efficient for your paying clients like our firm to be able to comply with FCC, SEC, FINRA, and other regulators. At a minimum, please provide a link to the instructions for doing this on the contacts page as well as the Unsubscribed page. I have managed email campaigns for other financial services offices for the past 6 years; this is my first time using Constant Contact and I am NOT impressed.

Hi @JakeG88 thanks for sharing this feedback with us! What are the steps you're taking to manually add contacts to your unsubscribed list? Do following these steps help fit your needs?

You never did answer his question - how to manually unsubscribe someone.

Why would I go to "Add contacts" to unsubscribe someone who is already in my list?

the only thing I see there is to import a list of unsubscribed from another mailer website.

That's a lot of work to just mark one of my subscribers as Unsubscribe.

I've spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find the answer. Your search engine doesn't seem to understand the difference between resubscribe and unsubscribe.

I see a list of unsubscribed people, so I know you have one.  I don't want to just delete the person, I want to know that they  have requested to be removed.

Hello @SeattleM9 ,

It looks like you're responding to an older, closed product idea thread. If you're needing general support, I'd advise checking our Questions & Discussions board.

If you need guidance on how to edit individual contacts, including permission status, see our main article on the topic. If you're intending to unsubscribe multiple contacts at once, you can utilize the file import option mentioned above. I'm able to find references to these different processes by searching for "unsubscribe" in both the Help tab in accounts, as well as the search engine for the Community.
