Clearer wording on using "guest checkout" with Paypal

This option is going away for many of our users. They get this and not the option to pay by credit card. When are you guys going to Stripe that has nonprofit rates and won't require this. WE ARE LOSING PEOPLE. If this isn't going to happen, then we will have to find another solution for our events and email marketing. We have been patiently waiting. I've been telling people to wait, but we can't wait anymore. We are trying to send out invoices to circumvent this, but it doesn't always work either.

PEOPLE ARE GETTING THIS AFTER PUTTING IN THEIR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION and choosing to use credit card.

Using Paypal to process just credit card transactions is going away for many of our users. They get forced to create a Paypal account even AFTER they choose pay by credit card.   When are you guys going to Stripe that has nonprofit rates and won't require this. WE ARE LOSING PEOPLE. Just tried the invoice option again, and it is requiring a Paypal account now.

BUT, it will allow a donation. This is just not working for our users. The person who is doing this for us is a gem. This doesn't usually happen. The customer walks away.

Hi @MargaretG412

Because the thread you originally commented on was focused on a different topic than your posts we have moved your feedback into a thread of its own. You are correct, at this time each registrant is required to make a PayPal account when paying with PayPal. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are working on an updated event experience in a more advanced tool. While we do not have an update or timeline to share or can guarantee any kind of commitment on how we will be handling this request. We are also in the process of collecting requests for a disclaimer to be added for users to notify you all of this when using PayPal for events. We hope this indicates some awareness that we have heard your feedback and could be taken under consideration while we are building out this tool and will reach out to this idea with any further updates.

Our legacy event tool is no longer being updated. For Event 2.0 feature requests, please create a new post so it can be tracked properly.
