Email - Warning when scheduling a campaign for the same time as an already scheduled campaign

I have multiple people in my organization using our Constant Contact account to create and schedule emails.  It has happened multiple times where employees schedule emails to the same lists at the exact same time. This causes the members of our database to receive two emails within two minutes of each other, which is a huge marketing no-no. I think there should be an option to set parameters so emails can not be scheduled within a certain numbers of hours from one another. If this isn't a viable option, I at least think a box should pop up when someone is scheduling an email at the same time as another that there is overlap. It's embarrassing to send emails so close together without the realization. And I think this solution could easily fix the problem for any organization where multiple people have access to the account.

When your account users are working on campaigns and scheduling them, are they using any internal communications or calendar system to organize who's working on what, or when certain campaign initiatives should be occurring? Or, are they able to utilize the campaign calendar view within accounts to better coordinate when other users are planning to schedule their emails?

While we do make use of the calendar view often, we work in an organization with almost daily events and constantly-changing dates so it's not always everyone's top priority to look. I think it would very helpful to have some kind of alert sent to anyone trying to schedule an email at the same time as another.

Thank you for the follow-up, I'll get your feedback passed along to the devs. In the meantime, it may be prudent to utilize some common communication channel within your organization to prevent overlap- whether that's a program specifically dedicated to direct, internal comms, or even just a group chat on a preferred social platform.


Otherwise, your team may need to adjust their workflow to check for when emails are scheduled - either by having the campaigns list filtered for Scheduled campaigns, or by keeping the calendar view up. Another option may be to have specific users handle only a specific list, or a specific topic so that there's less likelihood of overlap. A more extreme option may be assigning your users specific time windows they can schedule their emails.
