More editing options for the Update Profile form

The Update Profile Email is too limited in editing options. Please allow us to adjust the witdh of the header image so that it can be as wide as the body text. I would also like to eliminate all that white space between the header image and the "Greeting" that remains after changing the "Title" and "Border" color to white (only way to get rid of them). The current design is severely outdated and I hesitate to let my customers see it as I don't believe it shows my company in a good light.

Using this email is the only way that Contacts can add or leave your Lists as they prefer, without you having to do it.

Thank you

Love CC.  Really appreciate you adding the search function -- saves me a lot of time.  One other idea.  How about adding the capability for subscribers to update their e-mail address?  New readers can subscribe, and current readers can unsubscribe.  What I am suggesting is a capability for current readers to update their e-mail address.  I think that would be very useful for all concerned.  Thanks!

I'd like to go back to what was I think the original request on this post. The text of the actual link in the footer of the email to the update profile form is not very user friendly. Most recipients of emails are not thinking they have a "profile" they want to update their email preferences. That language would be much better, IMO, though ideally, we'd have the option of what text was displayed. Or maybe I'm missing that?

Hello everyone,

We wanted to clarify and provide a general update regarding the Update Profile form functionality. Links to the Update Profile form can be included in the body of an email, by utilizing variable tags. You'll insert a link, and simply add this tag (brackets included) as the "URL": [[updateLink]]

Since this is considered a link, you can apply this to any bit of text, an image, or a button (e.g. you can have your text or button say "Update List Preferences"). Keep in mind that since this is a Compliance element, it will be coded specifically to the contact being directly sent the email. Like with unsubscribe and update profile footer links, if the email is forwarded by your contact to other email addresses, it will still be coded to the original contact.

For other general info on how Update Profile forms work, please see our main article on the topic.
