Adding Contacts after a campaign has been scheduled

Does anyone know if you add new contacts after an email campaign has been scheduled (but not sent yet), will the new contacts be included in the email campaign or do you need to stop the campaign, add the contacts, and then reschedule the email campaign for those new contacts to be included?   Thank you!

Hello @CynthiaF312 ,

You can add contacts to a list that has an email scheduled to be sent to, prior to it sending, and those newly added contacts will receive the email.

If you add contacts to a list, and the email you wanted them to receive has already been sent, you can resend the email so it only targets the new contacts since that last sendout. This can be repeated multiple times.

In that case were I am ending the email after I added new contacts, how do I code the date of my email letter so that it changes automatically each time I send it out.  For example, I sent the first email letter on October 1, then I added some new people on October 4, can I have the date coded to automatically change each time it gets sent out without me making a copy and changing the date manually?

Hi @SandraF6980. There isn't anything to add to a campaign that will automatically change the text in it unless it is a contact detail such as a name or tag detail. You will need to copy the email, make the appropriate change, and resend it.
