Reports--unsubscribes & spam reports

I can't find anything in CC's documentation that tells whether the count of unsubscribers on a campaign report includes any spam reports that may be listed there, or if those two numbers are separate. Rarely we get a random spam report from someone who doesn't like what we are saying in our email, and I understand those are anonymous and Constant Contact can't report who they are from. But the question is, if a report has 2 unsubscribes and 1 spam report, is that a TOTAL of 2 unsubscribes? Or is the person reporting the email as spam, who is unsubscribed by Constant COntact, a separate "unsubscribe" ofr a total of 3. And...does it make a difference if that person both unsubscribes using the unsub link and also clicks to report as spam (in which case would they be included in both lists? Thanks to anyone who knows how this works.

Hi @rcppubs23. If someone reports your email as spam, they are automatically unsubscribed from your lists but they will not show as an unsubscribe in the reporting. For privacy, we do not provide reporting on contacts who report emails as spam. In your example, there would be three unsubscribes in total but you would only see the two under Reporting who did not report your email as spam.

So the person who reports, and is unsubscribed by Constant Contact will just totally disappear from our list? I mean, we're talking minuscule numbers in any case. I just want to understand what our reports are reporting. Not so much about who they are, but where they fit in the count. We flag in our reports how many people subscribe and unsubscribe in the time period being reported on. Would such a person who is removed by Constant Contact when they make a report be included in the NUMBER of unsubscribes Constant Contact is reporting?

Hi @rcppubs23 ,

As Caitlin explained, the contact won't show in the drilldown for privacy reasons regarding the spam report, but they will still count for the number of unsubscribes.
