Social Links

REX2203

With the previous UX, all of the social links used to be saved. Now they are not and we have to enter them every time. It would be great if we didn't have to link them for every email.

Hello @REX2203 ,

This is the default function if you're copying from an email that already has the social links setup, or making an email from scratch after you've set them up in a previous email. If you copy from an email template where they aren't linked, then that will override your previous additions and setup.

If you need guidance on setting up social icons in your email, please see our main article on the topic

@William_A ok, but...

you can see how that's obnoxious, no?  Especially if starting from scratch or using a CC template. Not every email is gonna use the same saved template.  Many of us don't reuse templates at all, ever.
What in particular about the new UX that makes that functionality deprecated?  That seems like a step backwards.

Hi @Bootyful-Boudoir,

I apologize for the delay in reply. You provide some great use cases for why having the system recall social media accounts even in fresh templates would be useful. It also seems like it would be a good addition to our BrandKit tool. We are tracking feedback from users about such a feature, so I will make sure to add your account to the ticket so that our developers will see it.
