Update account contact email address

how do I access my newly created email account to verify the email address. Does the email address have to be an existing account in gmail, yahoo, etc?

If the email already existed at the time of you signing up, then you should have received an email with a verification link. If you're not finding that email, please call our general support so they can confirm security permissions, and manually verify addresses for you.
