Turn off First Name of Subject Line if First Name Field is not filled out

Hi! If someone registers for our email list and they do not fill out the first name field, how do you turn off the subject line first name? Currently it leaves this field blank on the subject line. Please email me at

If you're needing a contact's first name for the sake of personalization aspects of your emails, you may want to consider making that a required field on your sign-up forms. Otherwise, subject line personalization allows for a secondary term if the selected name field isn't applicable to the contact.
