I believe Outlook has a Mail Merge feature that allows you to send personalized emails to multiple recipients. I've used it in the past but it involved a couple of steps I have forgotten by now.

Think of your email list as a way to provide *value* to the subscriber. This attracts them to subscribe and also creates fantastic rapport with them online. What do you offer that you could give them a "taste of"? What perks or insider access or special information could you make available to them in exchange for their email address? This is often referred to as a "lead magnet" because you want to identify what they would want and give that to them. Moving forward it becomes all about providing them value through your ongoing emails, keeping you top of mind, front of mind, and nurturing your relationship with them towards the sale.

Hi Christian,
I'd be happy to share with you thoughts about marketing effectively. Please provide details about your business, what you offer and who is your typical customer. I'd also suggest that marketing is expensive when it's not done well, leading to a negative or poor ROI. Marketing is an investment, and when well executed, leads to revenue. It would be very challenging for a business to grow without marketing. I look forward to hearing from you Christian.

I don't have experience in the restaurant industry, but I am a big fan of a local family restaurant in my neighborhood and done some cool things recently.
They implement a loyalty program to reward repeat customers and encourage them to return. Offering incentives such as discounts, freebies, and free food. (I have definitely increased my business there since then.) They also encourage you to leave reviews on platforms like Yelp and Google, negative or positive in exchange for a free drink.

Hi ChristianN559!
I get this question all the time and the answer really isn't a hard and fast rule. In all honesty, it will vary based on many factors.
1. What is the expectation you set with your subscribers in the first place?
2. How often can you send them information that's of value to them? (aka high quality)
3. What's your bandwidth for consistency?
4. What are your goals?
In essence, consider these ideas:
For a welcome series, probably 3-5 emails over a 7-10 day time period
For regular nurturing emails, 2-3 times/month (with a minimum of once/month!)
Here's some examples:
Local deli/cafe can send daily specials
Financial planner can send monthly updates
The rest of us are somewhere in the middle.
Bottom line: Quality and Consistency for the win!
