Hello Nick,

I have been in business for 35 years.  I own and operate a beauty salon.  I love what I do.  I believe in "Styles you can Afford".  My weakness is not being able to communicate with my clients once they leave the salon.

I hope you can help with this with Constant Contact.

Thank you for sharing about yourself and explaining where you feel you could improve! I am not an expert on beauty salons, but I can appreciate the difficulty in finding a way to follow up. Given beauty never sleeps, it's inevitable the customer will want to come back if they had a good experience in the salon, so part of the job would be to keep your business top of mind for them. This could be in the form of offering a discount for a service on their next visit. When you collect their email address, you could also request their birthday or make note of when they first made a purchase with you, and then endeavor to follow up with them on their special day or on their anniversary to offer the discount.

 

Also, it might not hurt to ask the particularly satisfied customers if they would be willing to share their new look to the rest of your audience, by including a picture in an email to your contacts showcasing the latest and greatest work you've done. Add in testimonials and that's a big way to build confidence with your base.

 

You could also check in on specific holidays that might be relevant to your business, or just because, even if all the email is doing is wishing them well.

I have been a member of Constant contact for several years now. I don't believe I would still be in business without the help of Constant contact. I had a brick and Mortar business for  ten years. 2010 - 2020 and then my wife and I made a life changing move to live near our son in and around Oklahoma city. I am 64 years old now and our one and only son told us about four years ago, if we wanted to move to Oklahoma City and be close to him he would help take care of us as we get older, so here we are. My wife lived in the same community of Shady Point Oklahoma for 57 years and I for about the same. Now back to the subject at hand. We went from "Brick and Mortar to Click and Order" and with the move we were able to bring 1,800 of our customers with us via Constant contact with emails. Not one hiccup have we had with our transition with our business with the Help of Constant contact. I did have worries and concerns about the customers and if they would make the move with me 3 hours away from our locals. No sweat! No hiccups! Hello Nick, my name is Charlene Britt, and I've recently stepped into the role of Market Manager and Community Garden Administrator in Snellville, Georgia. We have a fantastic farmers market and community garden that runs year round. My background is in hospitality, but I've always been passionate about promoting a healthier lifestyle through clean eating and staying active. This role feels like a perfect fit for me since I practice what I preach and want to use this platform to educate our community on the nutritional and economic benefits of supporting local farmers and artisans. I'm eager to connect with my target audience, share upcoming events, boost visibility, provide valuable content, engage consumers, and ultimately attract more visitors to our markets.

 

My husband and I have a beautiful blended family of 5 incredible children, 2 amazing daughter-in-laws who so graciously brought into this family the most cherished gifts anyone can ever receive our 2 precious granddaughters Rebecca and Emberly. Oh and our family would not be complete without crazy, sweet Sadie, our black lab border collie who loves us all unconditionally.  Doing life together is what we do best, Sunday Funday family dinner, game nights, beach vacation and skiing adventures are just some of our guilty pleasures.

My name is Laura. I am the Director for Children and Family Ministry for a church. I am fortunate to have a Committee that worked together to decide on and design a logo for our ministry and a look for our newsletter. Constant Contact allows me to  simply click "copy" on last week's newsletter, and I can either keep last week's content or delete and add new content. I just watched the challenge videos 1 and 2 and I have learned so much. Both experts were very on point with the info I was looking for. Now I was wondering if there are trending optimal times when people open their emails during the day. Thanks for this series! :smileyface:
