Hello!

 

I am Dr. Glenn Griesinger.  I run a business called Mobile Math:  https://www.mobilemathlab.com/. 

We specialize in academic coaching, with a focus on math tutoring at the university level. Additionally, we offer statistical consulting services for thesis and dissertation work, helping students in STEM fields and beyond successfully navigate the mathematics required for their degrees.

 

What I enjoy most about running my business is the opportunity to make a real difference in students' academic journeys. I get to help them build confidence in their math skills, and it is incredibly rewarding when they succeed and graduate with the degree they have worked so hard for. We are proud to have a 99% graduation rate and offer a grade "B" or higher guarantee to our students.

 

One challenge I have encountered is getting the word out about Mobile Math. Once potential clients learn about us, we have a high sales conversion rate—around 66%. However, reaching new clients has proven to be both difficult and expensive, especially when it comes to advertising. I am looking forward to learning from this community and finding new, cost-effective strategies for marketing and growing my business!

Hello Nick. My name is Shawn Little.  I am a private chef. I know absolutely nothing about marketing. I have had my business for a year and a half.  I have been cooking professionally for over 30 years, So I literally hwve no idea what to do here. And so far I'm not seeing a lot of guidance here for a novice. It seems set up for people that already have some idea what they are doing. Feeling overwhelmed and stupid and like I wasted money I could have spent elsewhere

@ShawnL251 first of all big kudos to you for even starting your own business. You are one of the elite who have decided to take their skills (30 years, wow) and leverage them for your own future opportunities. You are welcome here and we do aim to guide and help however we can. Remember that everyone starts in the same place when they open their business, so don't be too hard on yourself. I'm sure you make endless wonderful meals because that is your gift and expertise, so why would it be logical that you should know how to market? It's not. That being said, Constant Contact has been the leading online digital marketing platforms for small businesses and entrepreneurs for decades for a reason: they set out not to just build a set of marketing tools, but to make it as easy as possible for those who are not inclined.

The other special part about Constant Contact is what we are doing right here: live support, community, and a team effort. So in addition to the community here, you can always get help from a real live support team member and marketing success manager.

 

As far as being overwhelmed, I'd say take a step back and organize things in a simple fashion.

Website - do you have one, even a one-pager that represents your business?

Email list - Constant contact is the central hub to build your contacts database - prospects, clients, past connections, colleagues, friends, family - everyone.

Social Media - at least one or two channels that you post on and engage with folks regularly. 

 

If you have those three lined up and you are committed to taking a few minutes to learn the Constant Contact system (again, easiest out there for sure!) with a drag and drop email builder as well as the social media posting tool, you can accomplish most of what you need to do with simple and focused effort! 

 

The template builder and brand kit feature will also give you massive shortcuts to auto-branding your marketing so that it's the right colors and style without you having to spend time doing it manually.

Hi my name is kimberly. I trained dogs, But I also trained their owners. This is my specialty. I don't think there's anything else out there like this. So how this works is. I work with the dog while the owner watches. And then it's the owner's turn. I figured this out after so many people put their dogs through training and don't know what to do with them. This is something I really love doing. I love the freedom of having my own schedule, and Still being with my family.

 

When I am not at work I enjoy gardening, Fishing, and Playing fetch with my dog. I've been in the animal field for several years. I work at a local vet and learned so much. I've been in the animal business for fifteen years off and on. I would love to make your life easier. Especially People who have aggressive dogs.

While I am now a marketing professional, all of my previous career experience was in the pet care industry. :smileyface: I am a former CPDT-KA, a CTC through the Academy for Dog Trainers, and a Certified Kennel Operator. I was the Director of Operations for a dog daycare here in the Silicon Valley for about a decade before I changed careers. we offered daycare, boarding, grooming, and training. I did puppy socials, group classes, and private day training, too. I am SO glad to see you here using Constant Contact! My name is Douglas Stewart, Producing Artistic Director for Matchbox Theater Company (MTC) founded in 1994 in Albuquerque, NM.  We are entering our 30th year as a non-profit organization. Our mission is: 1) Provide performing opportunities for professional actors; 2) Produce thought provoking contemporary, modern, and classical plays for public enjoyment; 3) Offer professionally taught acting classes/workshops for aspiring youth/adults in Stage/Film/TV; and 4) Create outreach programs for youth in cooperation with public schools and other community organizations.

 

I have been involved in marketing and producing theatrical and dance events my entire life. I am joining Constant Contact to better manage our organization’s social media branding and keeping track with our former, current, and future theatre patrons.

 

The arts must continue to survive in our country. I strongly believe that it is the artists that have always been at the forefront of creating positive change in our society. MTC wants to continue to be a part of that positive change.

Hi all, I'm Paul Zarate Sr. Vice Commander with  VFW Post 2150.  I have been using C C for about a year. However, my issue has been reaching only about 30% of the 350 members in our post.  The main reason is I want to reach more people within our community.  We struggle like all the other VFW Post as well as American Legion's in staying afloat each month.  I love my post in what we do in our community and assist our Veteran's in the area.  My pupose is to get more involved in our community and be able to connect with other organizations in volunteering with community projects. My vision is to make our post more visible in our community.

I have worked with VFW's indirectly and a number of Vet nonprofits directly and I come from a military family, so I am applaud the hard work you put into supporting your post. I also understand that you want to do more with your marketing and reach others in your post. We are happy to help you and guide however we can. I'll start with a question: when you say "my issue has been reaching only about 30% of the 350 members in our post" do you mean that you only have 30% of their email addresses in your system or do you mean you have them all in your system but your open rate on the emails you send out shows 30% open rate?
