Include bounces as segment criteria

0 Votes

Thank you for showing me how to use your 'Segments'. It has been helpful! Next question - Is is possible to add a criteria section for Bounces? Specifically, I would like to automatically eliminate all Bounced - Recommended for Removal contacts from my segment. Right now, I have to create a Bounced list and then remove it from my send list. This is just a few extra steps but it can get annoying doing it over and over. Because we maintain our contact list in another CRM and then upload it to Constant Contact, deleting the 'Recommended for Removal' contacts will not do us any good and they will just be loaded right back in when I bring in the updated contacts from our CRM.

Hi @CraigG922  thanks for sharing this feedback with us! At this time these bounced addresses do need to be manually removed. Having the ability for them to be automatically removed by the system is a feature request we would be happy to collect feedback on. We have opened up your idea so other users can weigh in as well.

We're updating the status of this idea to more accurately reflect its current status with our engineering team and also made slight changes to the subject line in order for it to be more easily found. We can't guarantee a commitment to deliver on this feature request but should indicate some awareness that we have heard your feedback and could be taken under consideration for a future release.

It would be great to be able to add number of bounces or number of a certain type of bounce to a list, and either not send to them or get rid of them completely. I regularly check my lists and get rid of the "recommended" emails, but going through each campaign and finding the ones that are bounced for "mailbox full" and sending them to excel and then calculating how many emails have bounced for their mailbox being full is not really a time-conscious and repeatable option.

I would like to create a segment that says "If the contact has 10 or more emails bounced in a row for any reason, put them on this list" so that I can choose what to do with them from there.

Hope this is possible!
