More Search Options/Advanced Search for Contacts

Contacts needed a re-design, but I am not sure why you have removed the Advanced Search feature?!

Isn't keeping your contacts list up-to-date a very important part of managing a mailing list, which will increase your open rate? Why yes, it is!  So I don't understand why you would remove the advanced search so that i can no longer look for people who fit a certain criteria so I can remove them when updating our lists.  For example, the only way I can remove people who are no longer members of our organization (and therefore should not receive our emails) was to upload a new list of all current members and tag them with today's date, then do an advanced find for people who did not have the tag and remove them. Now, I can no longer do that!  So there's essentially no way for me to update my lists to remove emails.  PLEASE FIX THIS!

😫Every time something is upgraded, another function breaks or is deprecated. Not good.

Status changed to: Gathering Information

Since this was originally posted some additional fields have been added to search by, however, there are still more fields and scenarios to be addressed. Setting this to Gathering Information only to encourage further sharing of which fields or scenarios would be helpful for contacts searching improvements.

Users should be able to Search any terms in the Contact List search field. We should be able to search through Notes, Names, email, anything at all. Instead, it only searches the Names from the starting characters.

CC needs 3 characters to search a lead - I can't find "Ed" from 7 Lakes Contracting in a "Name" dropdown search with just his 2 letters in his name.

Company Name dropdown search function only works if you use the EXACT NAME in the EXACT ORDER it was entered - "7 Lakes Contracting" doesn't come up if it is entered as "Seven Lakes Contracting". It wouldn't be an issue except for the fact that a search for only "Lakes" in the business name doesn't function b/c it needs to be in the EXACT ORDER.

CC times out too fast during a day's use. There is a prompt to wake out of the pending sleep mode but that option is misleading. The "yes I'm still working" will open the software and it appears to operate fine, only to reject searches for contacts until II am reloading CC much more often than I should need to.

Two search features, one is pretty ubiquitous, the ability to select a range of contacts via their check box. In most systems you can shift click to check every box between one previously selected, and the newly clicked box.

I need to grab an undefined range of contacts to export and check a field in them all at once, but to do this I'm going to have to select every contact individually. In google contacts is the clear example, you can select a contact by its checkbox, and then scroll as far as you need and shift to select another, grabbing all in between them. The inverse of this is also helpful, so that two ranges can be selected and acted on at once.

Second feature will be the ability to search by more than just the input fields of a contact. In the header row of the All Contacts page I can view things such as the date a contact was made or edited, but we have 5,000 contacts submitted over 10 years of time. I don't bring the numbers in to try and stretch or inflate the meaning, just that to be able to search an exact date would make the date feature more useful. Other fields would be useful to search by too, and the ability from each search bar on the contact page, to filter by all, or a list or tag, would be kind. Instead of needing to navigate between lists before searching.
