I started to delete all contacts in a list, as they had been put there inadvertently or mysteriously. But when I got ready to delete them, this was part of the screen that showed: "Contacts removed from their last list will remain in your account, but not on any lists." (Italics mine.) To me, that says that if I delete them from the one list where they don't belong, then they will be deleted from any other lists. I went to the Chat function and was assured this is not so; that deleting from the one list will not delete them from any other lists. I'm still very nervous about this, as it is 591 contacts and if I lose them, I won't be able to recover them. I suggested to the Chat representative that this sentence be reworded, if what the rep was saying was correct. I honestly don't know what to do. I need them out of the one list, but I cannot lose them in the other lists.

Why does Constant Contact retain unsubscribes and deletions and also include them in count of contacts. Please consider dropping upsubscribes and deletions from your customers database. There is no reason to retain this information with active/current information and it also makes it very difficult to navigate. This history could be moved to archives if one wanted to analyze.

Our client list changes constantly with those that pass and new ones that get added. It would be ideal to have an option to replace a list instead of deleting and recreating each time. Thanks, Gerri H

I would appreciate if the system would remember viewing settings. I manually have to change it to sort by lastname and show 100 each time I log in. Can this be saved somehow to default to that sorting when I log in?

Please give instructions on how to add an email address manually to a DO NOT CONTACT list/ unsubscribed list. There should be a straight forward simple way to do this from the contacts page. This speaks to making it efficient for your paying clients like our firm to be able to comply with FCC, SEC, FINRA, and other regulators. At a minimum, please provide a link to the instructions for doing this on the contacts page as well as the Unsubscribed page. I have managed email campaigns for other financial services offices for the past 6 years; this is my first time using Constant Contact and I am NOT impressed.

adding multiple contacts This used to be easy. Now it is difficult. Adding a list doesn't allow indicating list or tags. Completely unhelpful.

CONTACTS IS INCORRECTLY TAKING US TO LISTS... When I click on Contacts it is taking me to Lists. PLEASE FIX THIS KNOWN ISSUE. It has been like this for months. Very annoying.

The auto-generated lists in the Shopify Integration are nice, but I already have existing lists that I use to communicate to customers. I like the contact-syncing feature but since I can't select an existing list for new Contacts to sync to, I still have to go into Constant Contact and assign the new Shopify Contacts to the lists that I actually use. If I could designate an existing Constant Contact List for Shopify to sync with, I wouldn't have to do this extra step.

I see email addresses of people I know when I look at â Did not open.â Instead of having to go back and search for that contact and delete that email address, can you make it so I can have an option to do that straight from the â Did not openâ list

Would like to see the ability to cross-reference 2 different lists and identify duplicates across different lists without merging. Example: If I have a list for Youtube influencers and another list for Instagram influencers, I would send different emails to each group but I don't want a single person to receive the similar email twice. Implementation would look like this: User clicks the check boxes next to the lists. Drops down the action list and selects "Check For Duplicates" A result screen pops up with either "No Duplicates Found" OR A column listing all of the duplicate profiles, with other columns to the right with check boxes. There would be one column per list selected, and the user would have the ability to tick the boxes or untick the boxes to quickly select which list(s) to add or remove each contact from. Contact data entry system - when I am inputting the data fields for each new person, and I scroll down to see the other sections included within the window... if I happen to scroll further down past the point than the "new contact" window has data/fields to display, it scrolls the background master list, therefore making a person have to stop and scroll again to find where they left off after the "wheel of fortune" lands wherever it feels like when the data is saved and the data entry window is closed. The data entry window is the active window when inputting/altering contact data... it should be the only window that can accept mouse commands. Is it to hard to disable input to the background while the active window is open, or at lease force the active window to accept all input until the contact file is saved?

I would love to be able to select monthly updates for my unsubscribe lists to limit the number of emails coming to my inbox each week. With the nature of our business and only reporting monthly our marketing numbers, this will help with my workflow. I waste a lot of time each month trying to search for the weekly emails for the unsubscribe list.

On Contact page, it would be helpful if when you click in the search field, the current search is highlighted so the user can immediately begin to type in the next search. Currently you must either click the "x" to get rid of the current search or delete the search by multiple backspaces. Yes it's only one or a few keystrokes, but when you are doing many searches, it saves time & cuts down on frustration.

Thank you for showing me how to use your 'Segments'. It has been helpful! Next question - Is is possible to add a criteria section for Bounces? Specifically, I would like to automatically eliminate all Bounced - Recommended for Removal contacts from my segment. Right now, I have to create a Bounced list and then remove it from my send list. This is just a few extra steps but it can get annoying doing it over and over. Because we maintain our contact list in another CRM and then upload it to Constant Contact, deleting the 'Recommended for Removal' contacts will not do us any good and they will just be loaded right back in when I bring in the updated contacts from our CRM.

Just PLEASE add a feature that allows us to suppress out people via uploading an excel list so that I don't have to waste my time going in and putting people on hold and taking them off hold (because guess what, I am not doing that because my lists are too large and people are getting multiple emails from me after they have done what I asked and (rightfully so) are getting annoyed with me! Add an EASY way to suppress out emails for each individual email campaign

I love that you can customize up to 6 headers at the top of the contacts list. But, we have different Custom Fields that pertain to each of our lists. For example, for our College Prep event attendee list, we would like to glance at the contacts School whereas for our Donors list we would like to track their Donation Amount. However, it seems that if we customize the headers on one list, it gets updated the same way across all of our lists. We would love to be able to make changes to lists individually as they pertain to different audiences and demographics!

Every week I create a new contact list and upload 50,000+ contacts into it. I have to do this in batches due to limits on import file sizes on your end, so this can be a bit tedious. I've gotten used to the flow but this week something changed. I used to select my list, then select "add contacts", then "upload file", then I'd upload my file. I confirm that the columns match up and confirm that I want to import them into the list I had previously selected. Today, the behavior changed so that the selected list is no longer selected after uploading the file. So I have to find it and re-select it. It's no big deal, but I'm already unnecessarily having to break my file up into 3 or more smaller files in order to get around your extremely small file size limits. It would be nice if I could choose the list once and do all the importing instead of having to go all the way back to the main Contacts page and work my way through multiple choices, including having to choose the list name twice.

Your new redesign does not work well for how we organize our contacts' information. Many time when we search for a contact, we search by what has been written about them in the Notes section, ie: they're a friend of ..., or the attended such-and-such event. that is the only way to find them. Now that is impossible to do with the redesign. Please can the Notes section become a search criteria in the pull down menu? Thanks, Justine Buchanan, Alexander Gorlin Architects.

Contact list navigation, contact list alterations (global). It is incredibly frustrating, when trying to edit multiple contact entries in a list that has several thousand entries, that a person has to click on the "next page" icon and load each individual sequential page until they reach their destination. For example: I have approximately 49 pages in my contact list, with 50 contacts listed per page. If I want to get to page 26 of the list, I have to click on the next page icon 25 times, including waiting for the list to populate, just to get where I last left off. I will politely say that this is a bit annoying to say the least. Yes, I know I can change the number of entries displayed on the screen at one time, but it is far less efficient and slow to do it this way - and we only have about 2500 contacts. It must be a nightmare for even larger contact lists. Can't a "Jump to page __" field be included where a user can manually type in which page they want to go to? Also, could a solution be implemented where an admin can globally change all address entries from "Other" to "Home"? Previously, before the website got revamped - for some incredibly awkward, silly, and frustrating reason - the default designation for all address entries (which cannot be changed by default) when a new contact was entered into the system was "Other". Since my co-worker did not pick up on this little fact when they were entering contact information, I now get the job of manually copying and pasting the information for EACH INDIVIDUAL CONTACT from the "Other" address field into the "Home" field. Here's where you probably want to suggest the following, to 'fix' this problem: export the entire contact list to an Excel file, save the file locally, alter the fields within Excel, save the file, then wipe out the entire existing database in CC, and then upload the corrected contact list... but with the system in its current form and function, it does not inspire confidence in me for CC's ability to do this without issues. I'm not going to run the risk of corrupting the entire list of contacts and information contained within, simply because the API development team and/or the webpage designers didn't ever think of this as a realistic, real-world scenario that would arise. Please fix these design flaws as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration in this matter.
