Has anyone noticed a problem with the "personal note" you can add to a test email? Sometime between Monday, 3/17 and Thursday, 3/20, the position of that note in the email has changed. It used to be at the top, above even the header of the email, but now it appears somewhere further down. You don't see it until you send the test--it doesn't show in the preview either inside the account or the "webpage view".
I think this is a problem across the board, not just in my account, and I'm told the developers are aware of it. If it's bothering you, please call in and register the problem as important. If more people complain they may fix it sooner. I don't know how other people use it but for us, we label our test versions and it's relaly important to us to have the note with the version number at the top so we can easily tell them apart.

Hello @rcppubs23 ,
There appears to be inconcsistency in this, as the test message for my emails, regardless of whether I'm in the new or old experience, always appears at the top of my emails. It may be worth seeing if this is only happening with regularly copied templates, or with either their original versions / the reusable template you create and copy from.
This issue has already been tracked to your account. If and when there's an update, they'll notify you directly.

It's interesting that this works for you. The people who answer the support lines, in consultation with the developers, said it's an across the board problem. Maybe they can find it by seeing what's different from what's being served to you employees vs the general public!

We are having the same issue. It used to be at the very top - which makes sense. Then for a few days it was below my top graphic - not ideal but OK. The email I just sent out had it sandwiched between other blocks - definitely not good there.

I recommend that everyone having this problem call the support line and tell them you are having the problem and want to be informed when it is fixed. I'm told that if more people do this, it may be given higher priority.

I have this problem too. In this example below, the words FOR REVIEW would normally appear at the very top.

We are also having the same issue - the note either shows up somewhere in the body of the email or not at all.

Update:
We are still seeing this issue, but it seems inconsistent. We get it every time we send some test emails, but with some emails it functions normally.

We thought this at one point also, but then we realized that in ONE of our types of email, the note was appearing in a logical and unobtrusive place, nearer the top than the others. Maybe a similar thing happened to you and you just didn't reazlize it. Take a look at the screenshot sent by @lcolombin--that's similar to what happens to us on one type of email.

Yeah its a bit odd. For one email it shows up at the top like usual. For one a little while ago it showed up near the top, but not in its regular spot. The second one was a bit odd, but workable.
But now it is sometimes showing up all the way at the bottom; so the people we send the test to don't even register it as a test.

Having the same issue. With the hypothesis that there is hidden floating code in there somewhere. I tried to move my boxes around to see if I could push that code back up, but I actually ended up pushing the message even further down into my email. 🙄

Has anyone else noticed that the "Personal Note" message within the Test email function is now randomly added in the body of the email instead of at the very top, as it previously was?

Hi @user84556,
Thank you for pointing that out. I am sorry to hear you are experiencing this, but it is a known issue we're investigating. It only will appear in a test send if a personal note is added and will not appear in a live send. I can submit a case on your account to have you notified when we've figured out and resolved the issue.

Yes and it's very annoying! I have also submitted a message about this as I did not see this post first.
Please fix this, Constant Contact!

Hello,
Recently I noticed a change in how my text appears when sending a test message.
Previously, it always used to appear at the very top of my email which is what I like so the recipients can very obviously see that it's a test message.
Now, ever since whatever change was made, it's being shoved in the body of the email somewhere (arbitrary it seems based on the other email content) per the screenshot below.
Can we please have the test message text display above the header again?
Thank you.

Hi @Marisa_M,
I moved your message over to this thread so they're all together, just fyi. Thank you for letting us know this is also affecting you. I will submit a ticket on your account as well so it is tracked for our developers.

Thank you. In case it helps, this change seems to have coincided with the insertion of the "Sections" feature. Like they need to code the Test message text to always take precedence above the sections? Maybe?

Have there been any updates on this issue?
Thanks

Hi @user6013. We've asked our Product teams to review the issue closer. We can't share dates but we'll provide updates on that thread to keep things organized.

I would love it if it was back up top too. It has confused my client thinking that my 1st draft, 2nd etc are actual emails going out to all selected.

My team is also noting this issue. The test message is showing up about 4-6 blocks down from the top - sometimes right in the middle of a story
