So the person who reports, and is unsubscribed by Constant Contact will just totally disappear from our list? I mean, we're talking minuscule numbers in any case. I just want to understand what our reports are reporting. Not so much about who they are, but where they fit in the count. We flag in our reports how many people subscribe and unsubscribe in the time period being reported on. I agree with this idea, though not necessarily see all images on one page. Perhaps there could be a dropdown that lets you specify how many you want to see at once, like there is on lists of contacts, for instance. Further, it would be better if the thumbnails showed the image, not a cropped version of it. As it stands now, it can be hard to recognize a horizontal image when only the center square of it is displayed. I don't know where the idea came from that all images should be square. ... View more

On the email reports page, it is relatively easy to export a list of subscribers who opened, clicked, bounced, etc. However, when you do a resend of the same email a few days later, if you want to generate any of those lists, it needs to be done separately for each send. Use case for this is to generate a list of bounces, organize it by bounce reason, and assess which subscribers should be removed from the list.   It is possible, of course, to do them separately and combine them, but it requires extra manual work for something that should be easy enough to include in the report. The totals are given for each category (such as opens, clicks, bounces), but no link is provided to export those lists. If I'm not mistaken, it previously was possible to do this.   Looks like another year has gone by since the last comment in September 2023, and we still know NOTHING from Constant Contact about whether this is under consideration. It really would be best if you would separate the two options of viewing the web version of the email from the social share links, so that your customer could specify which they want to use. I am pretty sure that (at least in the past) Constant Contact has given the impression that it can be used for membership purposes as well as to a broader audience. But this connection between social sharing and offering up a web page version makes that completely untenable.   I guess we can assume that since there has been no comment from Constant Contact about this over what, 7 years?, the answer is that CC is going to do NOTHING about it. @SRVAssociations, Your workaround is what I have resorted to also, but when layouts are more complex it sure doesn't feel like it saves very much time. Better would be if from the detail page you could also access the editor to copy the elements. I'm not sure how much that would help anyway though. What you really want to be able to do is copy a block from one email to another, and especially be able to save those repeatedly used blocks in a library, whether it be the image library or a 2nd one.   Definitely agree though, let's not any of us hold our breath! ... I wasn't really asking you to supply your full algorithm, though it may have sounded that way. But the terms "most" - "somewhat" - "least" don't give a very good sense. We have a list with going back almost 2 decades--and we'd like to know if these figures take into account the full list or only more recent subscribers. Might someone fall into somewhat or more engaged if they did not open any emails for several years, and then started opening emails again and do so more consistently now? The points about contacting less engaged contacts for the purpose of reengagement campaigns is widely known, but it's very hard to think about creative ways to further engage the "more" or "somewhat" engaged if you don't have a real sense of what characterizes the engagement. ... I may have written this sometime before--this idea has been under discussion for a very long time. But what I would like to see is something like a "block library" that allows you to insert a saved block into multiple emails (including to be able to edit it once inserted, when need be). I am in favor of adding this feature. However, personally I think it is best to send a correction as a new email, and clearly indicated as a correction. When an error important enough to need a correction is found, it seems to me as important, if not more so, for it to go out to the people who HAVE ALREADY opened the erroneous email as to send the correct mailing to those who never opened it.   Where I would see more the importance of being able to change the text of the re-send is in a case, for instance, where you are announcing an event that's coming up in a week. If you send it to non-openers 3 or 4 days later, you want to change it to say "there are 4 days left to [event]!" ... View more

Totally agree with @JenniferW733. This is the feature we need. In the style section of the email, where you select the link color, there should be an option to select the color of a visited link. I understand that the default link color and style in all browsers is underlined and purple. But Not everyone wants their button to be a light color, and as soon as you select a darker color for your unvisited link (the only color we're allowed to control through the interface) you end up with unreadable button text.   So just changing the default color is not a good solution. I don't know how to elevate this proposal but hopefully one of the CC people in the thread can do it for us. This has been under discussion for some time, though I'm not seeing the earlier part of the thread here. @WilliamMCF So true, all of what you said. I would add one more thing, that along with restoring the feature, there has to be a way to adjust the positioning of the caption/credit in relation to the image. The huge spaces between block elements that are enforced by the programming and unchangeable by the user wreak havoc with our control over design. Hi @Caitlin_M, I don't quite understand what this means, "no notification." Obviously the person will be unsubscribed, so will they show up as being an unsubscribe in the campaign report? Or if we run a segment of unsubscribers in a particular time period? Will they be included in the total number of unsubscribes in the month? Or do they not show up anywhere in the Constant Contact reporting? It seems like they would be in the list of unsubscribes, right? Or do they just totally disappear out of our list? ... View more

For the one click unsubscribe in the header, do we need to do something to activate that in our account or is it done automatically by Constant Contact? I couldn't find any documentation about how to set it up, but in th webinar they kept saying there were simple tools to do it, so it seemed like there was something to be done on your customer's end.   Also, can this be done in all templates? I think @Caitlin_M is talking about what I'd call a "true wrap" that is where you pull a photo into a text block. It does seem like there is no problem positionoin it left or right, but it does have to be at the top of the text. So for instance, if you want to have a headline that goes the full width of the block, then some text wrapping around a photo, you have to create a separate text block for the headline. This, by the way, is a rather common format for newsletters, which Constant Contact seems to be unaware of.   Having to have multiple blocks to make a chunk of copy is not only time consuming and prone to error when you start moving around the pieces of what should really be one block to work with, but ALSO, because we are given no control over how much space there is between thos multiple blocks it's hard to even make it look good.   Then, there is a separate problem of the "layout blocks" that have a column of text and a "column" with a photo. There's no styles you can apply in those layout blocks to control whether the "photo side" will be on the left or right, and to make it even more annoying, the thumbnails don't all reflect what the actual structure of the layout block is. This may not matter on most phones, where Constant Contact forces the photo to run full width, rather than next to the text, but some of us (maybe even most of us who do newsletters) still have a way larger share of subscribers using the desktop view than mobile. ... Really, having a section of the library where you could store blocks (and preferably allowing editing functions within it so you don't end up with multiple blocks with each edit you make but can just edit and existing block and save it) seems like a no-brainer in this situation.
