Create an email with custom HTML code

Is it possible to use HTML code inside a "normal" ConstantContact campaign email.  That is, not a campaign set up to be a custom HTML code?

Hello @GaryN799 ,

 

At this time, HTML coding in emails can only be done using the custom code editor - being entirely built using your own code.

This is not helpful. I feel very sure that years ago I could copy the HTML code from a block and put it into another email without having to build something entirely from scratch. Searching for information about this today I see so many people upset with the current status on being able to work with HTML code within Constant Contact. Very disappointing.
