Help

I just added added a sign-up form to my Homepage and went to test it out and it’s giving me an error that says “please select at least one list to subscribe to.” I don’t have multiple lists. And not only that, there’s no other drop down listed. Only name and email. I haven’t been able to get any help from Constant Contact OR my Wordpress people. Please help! =(

Hello @BethanyL234 ,

When you setup your list, did you select a list for the contacts to be added to? Additionally, are you using an inline / pop-up form created directly through us that requires plugging code into your WP site, or are you using the WP integration for your sign-up form?

I followed this tutorial - this is my first time using anything like this, sorry :frown:

https://knowledgebase.constantcontact.com/articles/KnowledgeBase/Using-Constant-Contact-Forms-for-Wo...

At minute 1:20 you'll see where I'm instructed to select a list that subscribers are added to. Mine doesn't say that, it only says "allow subscribers to select from lists" and then the option to select the list. I have one list labeled General. If I select or deselect I still get the error when testing functionality as a potential subscriber -  "Please select a least one list to subscribe to".

The instructions in this video are limited to using it in a post, and I wanted it on my homepage. So I took the shortcode and used the shortcode mapper on my WPBakery Editor to add it to my homepage. Everything looks good, it just doesn't work lol.

Are you using the .com or .org version of WP? Here's a troubleshooting guide that our Tier 2 technical team has recommended when this issue has occurred for other customers:

Plugins > Installed Plugins

Sync lists:
- Contact Form
- Lists
- Sync Lists with Constant Contact (towards the top of the page)

Check to ensure that ALL CTCT for Wordpress forms has at least one list selected:
- Contact Form
- All Forms
- Click to edit a form
- Under "Allow subscribers to select from lists", ensure that at least one list is selected.
- Click Update (to the top right)
- Repeat these steps for all forms

----------

If the issue continues, enable debugging and check the Debug logs.

Enable debugging:
- Contact Form
- Settings
- Support tab
- Checkmark next to "Enable logging for debugging purposes."
- Save Changes
-Trigger another signup to cause the error, and then see if anything is recorded in the logs.

View logs:
- Contact Form
- Debug logs
- Click "Download logs" to save to file

----------

If the issue persists, I'd recommend posting to the forms' support forum directly on the Wordpress site for further assistance. Feel free to reference this Community thread, if you need to post on their forums for further troubleshooting.
