what size picture should I upload for a custom background so that I don't see tiling?
This is going to vary based on the side of the recipient's screen and the length of your email campaign. The bigger the screen, the larger the image would need to be, and the same would go for the length of the email campaign. It wouldn't be possible to give you a specific set of dimensions due to the varying screen sizes and email lengths. For others who come across this post, we have a feature request open requesting to have more control over the background image, such as turning the tiling off. How do I get the pattern to repeat itself instead of one big blob of low quality image?
Hello @FirstNameL76709 ,
Beneath the image in the design tab once you've set it, there should be 3 icons to set it to centered, tiled, or full span. See our main article on setting a custom background image for full instructions and visual aids.
tried that and its still terrible quality. Tried different sizes for the image too and still. Added one of the patterns from the link you suggested and that image also is low quality and looking pixelated. is there anything i might be missing?
Make sure the image you're using is within the image sizing suggestions. Otherwise, there's not much else to do other than use a different image, or a solid color.
William, I don't have those options on a landing page. Is it possible to change the background image handling on landing pages? Trying to get it to fill the page rather than tiling. Even centered would be preferable, but I don't see those controls. We're using a shared account—wondering if you can email me at
Tiling is the default and only option for custom backgrounds of landing pages at this time, @ReginaW7 .
