Is there any way to add an email to an email sequence once it has been activated? I often find information that I want to share with my subscribers via automated email and can't find a way to add an email into the sequence.
Hello @HenryS564 , great question. Only series that are in a draft format can have emails be added to it. I'll note your feedback about the ability to add an email to an active series.
Don't you guys feel that this is an option that should be available? New information comes up that you may want to share with your subscribers all the time no matter what niche you are in.
For example: Say we have a "Tips and Tricks" automated email campaign with several emails (Lets say 5 emails) that are scheduled to deliver a new "Tip or Trick" every 7 days. Also I am adding new subscribers to the list along the way. So everyone starts at the the same email but some are deeper into the sequence than others.
Now I have created an new email (# 6) and want to be sure my subscribers get it as scheduled. After 7 days of receiving email 5 they will get email 6.
I'm sure there is a work around for this but sure would be nice to have more control over our automated email sequences. Things like Add, Remove, Edit, Rearrange seem like basic functions to me but I'm no programmer.
Hello @HenryS564 ,
Thank you for the feedback and additional info. I've passed it and your account info along to our engineers for further review. If and when they have an update to the relevant requests, they'll make sure to notify you.
In the meantime, based on your description, the best workaround would be to make another automation series and set it up so that the first email will go out after an appropriately adjusted number of days from the first emails of the initial series. I.e. if you're setting up email 6 of a series that's supposed to send every seven days, you'll be setting up email 6 in the new series to send 42 days after the initial trigger (or 49 days if Email 1 also waited 7 days to send out).
