Is there a way to prevent Constant Contact logging out for me?
Hi SharonS41,
The logging out can be very frustrating, be sure you have adjusted your AutoSave settings to ON, to ensure anything you were working on is safe!
Hi SharonS41,
That can be very frustrating, one word of advice, ensure you have adjusted your settings to AutoSave being ON, to ensure no updates are lost with this issue.
Hello @SharonS41,
Thank you for bringing your question to the community! We know that there can be some very valuable content within your Constant Contact account, and for security reasons, our system will always log you out after it detects that you are not using the page. Most browsers however do have the option to save your login information, so re-opening the page should allow a speedy login, and that automatic log-out should not be happening while you're actively working.
Is this logout happening more often than you expected, or is it timing out while you're working?
Hello,
This is an issue that has been brought up multiple times in the Community forum and has never been resolved. Many users, like me, are multi-tasking throughout the day and are working in an environment where security is not an issue (e.g., WFH with no one else having access to the user's computer). It's such a hassle to have to constantly log back in after a timeout and then navigate to the page where we were working. Can your developers PLEASE add an admin setting that allows us to set the length of the timeout and/or turn it off?
Thank you
It is almost a year later, and I still agree with this! Have an option for those of us who want to stay logged in!
I agree ... I am the only one that uses this computer and I am not concerned about someone hopping onto my computer and sending out an unauthorized newsletter.
Is there a way we can set a preference that doesn't log us out, or at least delays the timeline?
Adding my complaint to this as well. There needs to be an option to adjust how quickly it logs you out. The solution of using browser-stored credentials is ridiculous and brings with it a whole host of other security risks. We should be able to evaluate the risk level of our own physical environments and choose the setting that best meets our needs.
I agree that this is really frustrating! Could we at least have the timed-out screen take us to the login page automatically, rather than trick us into thinking we might still be logged in and giving us an error message after we've tried to enter a new contact? Even better, after we log back in, could we be taken back to the screen where we were working before?
